The Work Health and Safety Act 2011 includes a number of Codes of Practice including - Code of Practice Hazardous Manual Tasks. This code of practice says that a PCBU must manage the risk of musculoskeletal injury or disorders associated with manual tasks. There are laws in every state that all workers, supervisors and PCBU/employers must follow. The laws say that PCBU/employers, supervisors, managers and workers are responsible for safety at work. Workplace safety includes the physical safety, welfare and psychological needs of workers, your clients and all other persons.
