There are a number of laws and rules that must be followed about the Community Care Common Standards: Standard 3 Service User Rights and Responsibilities: Expected Outcome 3.1 - Information Provision. This includes the Aged Care Act 1997, User Rights Principles as part of the Aged Care Act 1997 and the Home and Community Care Act 1985. These rules and principles guide organisations that provide aged care services. They are there to make sure that the rights of people who use and need aged care services are respected and followed.
